Arshiya Sharafi,


Dr. Sharafi attained his dental degree at the University of Maryland Dental School in 2002. He went on to finish his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at University of Maryland Medical Center and R. Adam Cowley Shock Trauma Center in 2006. Dr. Sharafi has trained extensively in Dentoalveolar Surgery, Dental Implants, Orthognathic Surgery, Maxillofacial Trauma Surgery, Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and Benign Head and Neck Pathology.

Dr. Sharafi’s area of expertise is full mouth reconstruction and bone grafting.  He has been performing full arch immediate loading cases for over 12 years.  Overall, he has successfully performed over 4,000 full arch immediate load cases. Dr. Sharafi is nationally known for his expertise in this field.  He is the current Surgical and Clinical instructor for the Biohorizons Dental Implant Training Center and TeethXpress Full Arch Courses.  Currently he performs six yearly live surgery courses in San Diego and Rhode Island.  He also has a mentorship program teaching full arch immediate load implant cases to fellow dentists.  In 2017, he gave one of the keynote presentations on full arch immediate loading at the Oral Reconstruction Foundation Global Symposium in Miami and has been invited to do so again in 2022 in Orlando, Florida.

Dr. Sharafi is board certified and Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Academy of Osseointegration.

Dr. Sharafi has privileges at Scripps Mercy Hospital and Sharp Memorial Hospital.
